In March 2015, the Organature moved their operations from a farm in Buffalo Victoria and re-located to new premises in San Remo (near Philip Island), sought out new team members – a wonderful group of philosophy sharing souls who are also eager to improve their own health and life-style while considering and caring for others.

In March 2019 they made another move to a shop with better storage facilities, just down the road in Newhaven. In fact, their fabrics are now stored in a beautiful, clean and spacious area just out the back. So the venture continues, enjoying, expanding, and always searching for more knowledge and better ways to live organically, improve the existing organic products, expand their organic product range and increase their level of service.

Manufacturing  ‘Above’ Organic Certification Standards

Organature works to European certification standards, as Australian and US certifications are not good enough for Peter (one of the founders). For example, organic products are allowed to be stored in toxic plastic packaging, but he will not use it. Instead Organature uses true cellulose, completely non toxic, safe for food storage and fully biodegradable. Organature fabrics are only cut and packed on hardwood timber benches, and our pillows, quilts and mattresses are all shipped in their own certified organic cotton bags for protection. These are not requirements of any certification standard.

Even the ink used to print invoices and price-lists is the safest currently available on the market. There are no sprays to contend with and it dries immediately. They’ve been using this ink for many years now and in the beginning when information was sent to people with chemical sensitivity they could not understand why it was possible for them to actually read the brochures, because they’d previously received a reaction when they tried to read others.

Staff are not allowed to wear any perfumes, lotions, sprays or other toxic body-care products and all their clothing is washed in chemical free washing powder to make sure that every aspect of our manufacturing, storage, supply, transfer and delivery process is as clean and as pure as possible.
